Carbon Quantum Magnetism (CQMag26)

Carbon Quantum Magnetism (CQMag26)

With a focus on π-electron magnetism in graphene-based nanostructures and radical molecules, the meeting will highlight advances in on-surface synthesis, scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS), and the rapidly developing STM-based electron paramagnetic resonance (STM-EPR). These techniques are transforming our ability to probe and control single-molecule spin states, offering a promising pathway toward scalable, coherence-preserving quantum materials. By uniting the synthetic chemistry community with theoretical and experimental researchers in spin physics and correlated electron systems, the conference aims to advance fundamental understanding of carbon-based quantum materials and foster new directions in quantum magnetism and its applications in quantum technologies, including quantum computing, sensing, and spintronics.

Invited speakers
Nacho Pascual, nanoGUNE
Roman Fasel, Empa
Thomas Heine, TU Dresden
Thomas Frederiksen, Donostia International Physics Center Philip Willke, KIT
Chunyan Chi, National University of Singapore
Oliver Dumele, Universität zu Köln
